Great Depression

What was the thing during the Great Depression when the gov't had people go around and record stories & songs?
Haha, EXACTLY the number of characters allowed in a question.
Anyways, I'm trying to find "primary resources" for a project, and I have to research B'rer Rabbit and bear and so on and so forth, but yeah. I know that, during the Great Depression, the government had people go around and document stories and songs from just random people, and I think the story might be recorded. What was that project called? A link to the database would be great! Thanks!
Wasn't it the WPA's Artists and Writer's Project?

This doesn't look like it, exactly, but maybe you'll find a link.
